Known Aliases: The Faerie Queen, The Lady of Avalon, Dr. Eleanor Ashcroft (suspected)

Titania

Titania is the current Queen of the Fae World, a co-ruler of Avalon, and; if the few surviving records are to be believed; one of the original makers of the seal under Stonehenge. She is more ancient than any recorded history, older than the rise and fall of Atlantis. She is mated, both formally and magically, to Oberon, the High King of the Fae. They have ruled Avalon side by side for what must be considered an eternity.

Her recorded magical abilities include high glamour, foresight, compulsive control, and the sorts of fae manipulation notated only in passing by the Atlantean archives: an elemental, reality-skipping power with no known boundary. Her magical presence twists ley lines and scrambles long-distance scrying. She is not an easy target. Surviving is another matter entirely.

Atlantean records attribute a hand in the making of the Stonehenge Seal to Titania, among Merlin and other Atlantean mages. At the time of the Seal’s initial failure, she had been considered a stable influence, then she wasn’t.

By 537 A.D., Titania and Oberon were actively fighting both the seal and its continued existence. Their agents attempted to attack both the seal and myself. Merlin and I managed to contain them. The convergence of ley lines under Stonehenge was the last battlefield. Merlin was lost shortly after.

I was a child. I have no memory of the ritual he employed to renew the seal. I do remember that it worked, for a time.

Titania’s signature went missing in the aftermath of the recent collapse of the Stonehenge Seal. Nia’s waking dream, weeks before the seal’s failure, of a woman who chilled her to the bone was the strongest lead. The scope of the signature, and the clarity of the emotion invoked: fear, was not a misinterpretation. During cleanup in Berlin, Puck’s offhand comment implied that Titania was aware of Nia’s vision, and not pleased that the girl had brushed her mind. Whether or not this event has changed Titania’s goal is not known. But I suspect that Nia is now a target.
